ROBERT SALISBURY KNIGHT

Robert Salisbury Knight’s quest has taken him to more than thirty countries and fifty islands on six continents in his explorations to document the natural world. A self-taught photographer, Roberts prefers a variety of unique large and medium format film cameras, and is very passionate about his large format FUJI GX 617 panoramic view camera. The wide format most closely resembles how the human eye sees and allows him to express the majesty of the earth’s landscape.

Robert has had the pleasure of spending countless hours exploring this beautiful earth and has endeavored to document those extraordinary moments that exemplify the spirit of this wonderful and fragile planet. Chasing the delicate and magically elusive light, Robert can be found on many unique expeditions.

On some of his most recent journeys, Robert spent over a year exploring his home country of America traversing the length of the continental divide from the Northern Canadian Rockies to the Southern Rockies of the United States. Explorations have included sojourns to remote locations such as Morocco, French Polynesia, South Africa, Eastern Europe and Micronesia just to name a few.

Primarily focused on Fine Art photography utilizing all large format cameras, Robert’s works are recognized for their excellence and are sought after by individuals for their private collections worldwide.

As a dedicated Advanced Paraglider pilot, seasoned trekker, and SCUBA Divemaster, Robert spends every possible moment soaring the skies, traveling the earth and immersed in the oceans around the world
