Robert Salisbury Knight’s quest has taken him to more than thirty countries and fifty islands on five continents.  A self-taught photographer, Robert shoots with a variety of unique land and underwater cameras. He is very passionate about his large format FUJI GX 617 panoramic view camera.  The wide format resembles most closely what the human eye sees and allows him to capture the majesty of the landscape. An 8 x 10 Deardorff wooden field camera hand built in 1945 is another trusted companion in the wild.

On his most recent journey, Robert spent over a year exploring his home country of America. Compiling over 35,000 miles by car and over 1,500 miles by foot, he visited many National and State Parks as well as other pristine and remote wilderness areas.

Robert has had the pleasure of spending countless hours exploring this beautiful earth and has endeavored to capture those special moments that exemplify the spirit of this wonderful and fragile planet. Chasing the delicate and magically elusive light, Robert can be found on many unique expeditions.

Robert’s photographs have been published in magazines internationally and his fine art works are printed to the highest standards available. The goal is to create edge-to-edge sharpness with depth and a rich color palette. Each image is hand signed in limited editions, printed with evolutionary Chromira printing methods on Fuji crystal archive gloss paper, and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity. Robert’s images are recognized for their excellence and are sought after by individuals for their private collections.

As a dedicated Advanced Paraglider pilot and certified SCUBA Divemaster, Robert has spent hundreds of hours soaring the skies and immersed in the oceans around the world
